Privacy Policy
Who We Are
Today’s Tasks is a lightweight to-do web app focused on privacy and clarity. We do not require accounts and we keep your personal tasks on your device by default.

Information We Collect
- Operational data: Basic, anonymous technical info (e.g., page views, approximate device type) used to understand performance and improve features.
- Ad data: Third-party ad partners may process limited data to deliver and measure ads. See Third-Party Services.
Local-Only Tasks
Your to-do items are stored in your own browser’s LocalStorage. By default, we do not transmit task content to our servers.
To remove local data anytime, you can clear site storage for todays-tasks.com in your browser settings or use the app’s reset options (see How to Use).
Third-Party Services (Ads/Analytics)
We use Google services to serve ads and understand anonymous usage patterns. Please review their policies:
You may also enable your browser’s tracking protection and disable third-party cookies to reduce personalization.
Cookies & Controls
We rely on minimal, third-party cookies for ad delivery and aggregate analytics. You can:
- Disable cookies in your browser settings
- Use Google Ad Settings to opt out of personalized ads
- Use private browsing or tracking-protection modes
Data Security
We apply industry-standard safeguards to protect site traffic and minimize data collection. Because task content is stored locally, you control it on your device.
Your Rights & Choices
- Access & Deletion: Clear site data in your browser to remove tasks and local settings.
- Opt-out: Manage ad personalization via Google Ad Settings.
- Contact: Have a privacy question? Contact us.
Children
Today’s Tasks is intended for general audiences and not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Users
By using this site, you understand data may be processed by third-party providers in regions where they operate. We seek privacy-respecting defaults wherever possible.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar laws, the legal basis we rely on for the limited processing described above is your consent (for personalised ads, where required) and our legitimate interest in running the site (for aggregate analytics). You can withdraw consent for personalised ads at any time using Google's Ad Settings or your browser's tracking-protection controls — withdrawing consent does not affect lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
What We Keep, and For How Long
Because Today's Tasks does not require an account, there is no server-side profile to retain. Concretely:
- Your tasks: kept in your browser's LocalStorage until you clear site data, switch browser, or use the Reset action in the app. We never have a copy.
- Aggregate analytics: retained by Google for the periods described in the Google data-retention policy. We do not export or store these logs ourselves.
- Ad-serving data: retained by Google AdSense in line with their own policies. We never receive your individual click or impression history.
- Email you send us: kept in our inbox so we can follow up on your question. If you want it deleted, ask and we will delete it.
What We Deliberately Do Not Do
It's often clearer to list what a site doesn't do than what it does. Today's Tasks does not:
- Require, create, or store user accounts.
- Send your task content, task counts, or task names off your device.
- Sell, rent, or trade any personal information.
- Use fingerprinting techniques to identify visitors across sites.
- Run cross-site tracking pixels of our own (third-party ad partners may, subject to their own policies — see above).
- Send push notifications, marketing email, or product re-engagement messages from a server.
If any of this changes — for example, if a future feature needs server-side sync — this policy will be updated before the feature ships, and the relevant section will say so explicitly.
Policy Updates
When this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be summarized here.
